🌟 The Tracker Hen 🌟

With the return of the Tracker Pigeon we’re able to get a full picture of the route taken from lib site to loft, almost every bird arrived from behind the loft or from the east meaning they’ve probably all taken more or less the same route as the tracker pigeon,

We know they didn’t hang about when liberated taking only an hour to cover the 70 mile of land from the lib site to the coast where she crossed almost immediately over to Campbeltown (HS5) taking only 27 minutes to cover the 32 mile of water,

She then took 48 minutes to cover 60 mile to the north side of Glasgow, 60 minutes to cover 80 mile onto Forfar, 56 minutes to cover 61 mile onto Turrif, 34 minutes to cover 15 mile to Sandend (8 miles from the loft) where she landed up sitting on a house roof it looked like for nearly 3 hours before arriving back at the loft in complete darkness looking and handling like she’s never been away 😁

If she hadn’t stopped she would’ve arrived home about 30 mins after the winner!

We plan to have around 25 unactivated youngsters in 2026 flying weekly with GPS trackers with the aim to give us all a better idea of what happens in every race 😁
